WE WERE SMALL is the visualization of a story of made-up monsters, born in the head of a mother and her four-year-old daughter in 2009.
WE WERE SMALL is a clothing brand for children from 0 to 8 years old, well-known for it’s basic, durable, colorful, cute and somewhat rock’n’roll line, the high quality materials used (jersey, molleton) and its powerful communication.
WE WERE SMALL has a full clothing line with tees, jackets, skirt and dresses, hoodies and sweaters, duvet covers and handmade stuffed monsters. The collection is designed in Brussels and produced in Portugal (except for the handmade stuffed monsters, which are produced in Belgium).
WE WERE SMALL organizes workshops for children to design their own stuffed monsters in its showroom in Brussels!

“A grand museum is like food to the soul, but that does not mean the museum’s café/restaurant has to taste or look poorly”, interior design office Pinto & Co must have thought while designing a new look for the Café and the Brasserie of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels. The chandelier in the form of a spaceship calls to mind Panamarenko’s work, the sumptuous zinc bar resembles Lloyd Wright’s Guggenheim construction in New York and the wall decorations are clearly referencing Andy Warhol. One thing is clear: this café is the perfect prolongment of the museum itself.

Forty-five years ago, Pantone, Inc. revolutionized the graphic arts industry with the launch of the colorful PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM®, enabling designers and printers to faithfully articulate and reproduce accurate color anywhere in the world. Each color identified with a unique number for precise specification. Pantone achieved global acceptance and quickly became the standard in the printing and graphic arts industries. The PANTONE HOTELTM in Brussels, designed by architect Olivier Hannaert and interior designer Michel Penneman, is part of the new Pantone Universe, an expanding line of colorful, design-driven products to touch and tempt consumers. Brussels-based Base Design Base developed the logo and the visual identity for the hotel, grounded on Pantone’s classic chip logo remodeled into the image of a house.
